Class Booking Terms & Conditions
Rooted in Growth – Yoga with Anka
Last updated: 28/09/2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to yoga classes, class passes and related services provided by Rooted in Growth – Yoga with Anka (“Rooted in Growth”, “I”, “me” or “my”).
By booking a class, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them before making your booking.
1. Bookings
Places in classes are subject to availability and should be booked in advance through the Rooted in Growth online booking system. Your place is confirmed once your booking has been successfully completed and you have received a booking confirmation. Please make sure that the information you provide when booking is accurate and up to date.
2. Payment
Payment is due at the time of booking unless otherwise stated.
Classes may be purchased as individual drop-in sessions or, where available, using a valid class pass or other pricing plan.
Current prices are displayed on the website and booking system before purchase.
3. Cancelling or Rescheduling a Class
I understand that plans change.
If you are unable to attend a class, please cancel or reschedule your booking through the online booking system at least 12 hours before the scheduled start of the class.
Where you cancel at least 12 hours before the class:
-
a class booked using a class pass will normally be returned to your pass; or
-
where applicable, a drop-in booking may be rescheduled or credited in accordance with the options shown in the booking system.
Cancellations made less than 12 hours before the start of the class and non-attendance may result in the class being charged in full or the session being deducted from your class pass.
If exceptional circumstances prevent you from attending, please contact me. Any exception to the cancellation policy is considered individually and is not guaranteed.
Nothing in this cancellation policy affects any statutory rights you may have.
4. Class Passes
Class passes are personal to the person who purchased them and may not be shared or transferred to another person unless otherwise agreed.
The number of classes included in a pass, its price and its validity period will be clearly stated at the time of purchase. Classes included in a pass must be booked and used within the stated validity period.
When a class is booked using a class pass, one session will be deducted from the pass. If you cancel or reschedule within the cancellation period set out in Section 3, the session will normally be returned to your pass. Late cancellations and non-attendance may result in the session being deducted from your pass.
Unused sessions will normally expire at the end of the stated validity period and cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to another person.
If I cancel a class or make a significant change that prevents you from reasonably using your class pass within its validity period, I will provide an appropriate solution, such as returning the session to your pass or extending the validity period.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
5. If I Cancel a Class
Occasionally, I may need to cancel or change a class due to illness, venue availability, adverse weather or other circumstances outside my reasonable control.
If I cancel a class, you will not lose the session.
Depending on how you booked, I will provide an appropriate remedy such as:
-
returning the session to your class pass;
-
transferring your booking to another suitable class; or
-
providing a refund where appropriate.
I will try to give you as much notice as reasonably possible.
6. Changes to Classes and Venues
Classes are currently held in local community venues and village halls.
Occasionally, it may be necessary to change the venue, teacher, timetable or other practical details of a class. Where a significant change affects an existing booking, I will let you know as soon as reasonably possible and provide appropriate options.
7. Arriving for Class
Please aim to arrive approximately 5–10 minutes before the class begins, particularly if it is your first class.
Arriving early gives you time to settle in and allows you to let me know privately about anything relevant to your practice.
For safety and to avoid disrupting other participants, entry after a class has begun may not always be possible.
8. Your Health & Participation
Yoga involves physical movement and, as with any form of physical activity, may not be suitable for everyone or in every circumstance.
You are responsible for listening to your body and practising within your own comfortable range.
Please let me know before class if there is anything relevant that may affect your participation or require an adjustment to your practice.
If you have an injury or health condition, are pregnant, have recently undergone surgery, or are unsure whether yoga is appropriate for you, please seek appropriate advice from a qualified healthcare professional before participating where necessary.
You are always welcome to rest, modify a pose or choose not to perform a movement.
Instructions, modifications and suggestions provided during a yoga class are general in nature and are not a substitute for individual medical diagnosis, treatment or advice.
9. Injuries and Liability
I will provide classes with reasonable care and skill and will take reasonable steps to provide a safe teaching environment.
You remain responsible for practising within your own abilities and for informing me of relevant information that may affect your participation.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
10. Personal Belongings
Please take reasonable care of your personal belongings while attending a class.
Rooted in Growth is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings except where responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Equipment
Please check the individual class information to see whether you need to bring your own yoga mat or other equipment.
Where equipment is provided, please use it appropriately and follow any relevant instructions.
12. Respectful Environment
Rooted in Growth aims to create a welcoming, respectful and inclusive environment.
Participants are expected to behave respectfully towards the teacher, other participants, venue staff and the venue itself.
I reserve the right to ask someone to leave or decline future bookings where behaviour is unsafe, abusive, discriminatory or seriously disruptive. Any decision will be made reasonably and with regard to the circumstances.
13. Personal Information
Personal information provided when making an enquiry, creating an account or booking a class is handled in accordance with the Rooted in Growth Privacy Policy.
Please see the Privacy Policy on the website for information about what information is collected, why it is used and your rights.
14. Photography and Social Media
I will not use identifiable photographs or videos of you for promotional or social-media purposes without an appropriate basis for doing so.
Where I would like to take photographs or videos during a class for marketing purposes, I will let participants know and obtain appropriate permission. You are always free to decline without this affecting your participation in the class.
15. Children and Young People
Unless a class is specifically advertised as suitable for children or young people, regular Rooted in Growth group yoga classes are intended for adults.
Separate conditions, consent arrangements and safeguarding procedures may apply to classes specifically offered to participants under 18.
16. Complaints or Questions
If you have a concern about a booking, payment or class, please contact me so that I have an opportunity to resolve it.
17. Changes to these Terms
These Terms & Conditions may occasionally be updated to reflect changes to my services, booking arrangements or legal requirements.
The latest version will be available on the Rooted in Growth website.
Changes will not retrospectively remove statutory rights relating to bookings already made.
